If you have made the decision to start aligning your smile with Invisalign®, you probably have many questions, but here at Riverdale Oral Health and Implant Center, we are happy to tell you all about the treatment.

Invisalign aligns your smile without the metal brackets or awkward appearance of traditional braces. However, what people do not know about Invisalign is the commitment and determination required. Here is some information about Invisalign:

1.The recommended wear time is at 22 hours a day. This may be easier said than done. Keep the aligner in your mouth unless you’re eating or brushing your teeth. This will help you get results faster and accurately.

2.Everyone’s transition is different, which means everyone’s treatment process varies. Some people’s teeth and jaw move slower than others. However, no matter how long or short the process is for you, be open to the idea that you may have to wear more aligners than you thought.

3.Oral hygiene must be your top priority. If you don’t properly brush and floss often, plaque and food particles can get caught in your Invisalign aligner, which can cause bad breath and more cavities. To prevent this, brush and floss your teeth after each meal and snack. Your teeth will stay cleaner, your breath will stay fresher, and you will have healthier gums as well as whiter teeth.

After your Invisalign treatment, your teeth will be straighter and you will have a more confident smile.
